La Jolla Stories

It is always fun for me to find a story in a picture. This man is fishing? I wonder what for. The ocean tide is coming in and out and he is trying to catch something he can eat, I assume. He doesn't have a crab pot so it isn't huge. Since the seals are out there trying to eat also I think it might be fish.

There were many baby sea gulls testing their chicken wings. This one had been walking around quite a bit before sitting on its knees. Mom is close by watching.

How did this seaweed get caught? Is it part of some mermaids headdress that got pulled away by the current? Did the muscle shell fight to attach itself to anything it could find for survival?

Hanging out on the beach for the day. What would you pack with you? A Lunch? a ball? stuff for snorkeling? swimming? boogie boarding? A good book? Wood? marshmallows and hot dogs to roast in the evening? fireworks to shoot off into the ocean? The umbrella, chairs and cooler are all waiting invitingly for a great day at the beach.

What is this young man looking for, finding, experiencing? It looks like I caught him in some illegal activity but he is really responding to his mom who was near me. Other siblings were close by as well. Soon after this photo was taken he disappeared into the deeper caverns. He emerged with a smile on his face. Makes you wonder what he found.

What is this lady seeing? She is bending over looking at something interesting. Don't you just want to ask her? Or look for yourself? Is she enjoying her time with this significant person in her life?

See the seal? This woman does. Makes me wonder if she has named it or followed it's journey at all. Maybe she is just enjoying some quiet time and wishes she could lounge around too.
